Promising new ideas and a different perspective, 25-year-old Portsmouth resident Matthew Hancock is joining the hunt for the First Congressional District seat.
Hancock said lowering the unemployment rate is his top priority, and he favors expanding federal stimulus spending. “I believe the stimulus worked,” he said, “and that it was too small, given the scope of the economic crisis, so I’d push for a second round of infrastructure investment to help create additional jobs, because the economy is growing again, but it’s not growing fast enough.”
